This volunteer-run organization brings together 11 churches from the Belpre area to provide assistance to residents in need. It has been supporting the community for over 20 years and provides food, clothing, and more. The organization provides financial assistance for a number of essential expenses, including utilities, prescriptions, and occasionally rent. Those requesting assistance for utilities must provide a shut-off or disconnect notice.

History

The Reverend Dennis Moeller was the founder of Belpre Area Ministries (B.A.M.) in 1995. Reverend Jerry C. Gustin had a vision for B.A.M. and through a dedicated community ministry, they have been serving those in need and preaching the word of the Lord. B.A.M. was started with a vision and desire to bring a community of clergy together to serve those in need within the local area. B.A.M. just started out as a food pantry with a handful of volunteers.
